Let's face it, a lot of people who don't even take care of themselves are quite often considered 'ugly', which is not true at all. Yes you have naturally ugly people, but some people are good-looking but they just don't take better care of themselves. And I'm not just talking about women, it's also men who spend their time in the mirror grooming themselves and usually they are considered 'good-looking', but I bet if they didn't take care of themselves at all people would call them ugly. it's the media which puts that thought into everyones mind, because most people you see on TV arne't natural at all. The world tells us that things like fake baking and getting your hair done ect makes you pretty...but is this really true? Of course not. If you didn't have those things, you see how people really are, naturally. Beauty is supposed to be natural, not fake. Yes it may make you look good, but basically it just creates a better image that really isnt yourself.

  1. thats were the saying that beuty comes from within.if you adhere to this in your mental thought of people you will have better friends

  2. The phrase you can't turn a sow's ear into a silk purse exists for a reason. There are some people who will never be considered universally "beautiful" no matter how many makeovers they get, how many expensive clothes they own. What makes some of them "attractive" is their perceived power or the fact they are extremely wealthy or they come from a wealthy family. Take a look at pictures of people in the Forbes 400 or any society column of any newspaper, and I guarantee most of those people would never be Mr or Miss America even though they are billionaires and can afford the best spa treatments, cosmetics and couturewear money can buy.

Also, publicity and spin does a lot in convincing the public to determine whether or not someone is considered beautiful.  Take a look at the tabloids. When a celebrity is on the good side of the media or the public, they are sometimes enhanced in pictures and there's all sorts of flowery prose about how "beautiful" they are, but if they fall from grace or somehow winds up on the public's bad side, you can be as certain as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West that the pictures shown of them will be the most unflattering possible and while they won't use the word "ugly" there will be just as many adjectives implying it...stuff like "they're not aging well" or mean comments about their weight!

Example:  The Duchess of Cornwall when she was still just Camilla Parker Bowles was portrayed as ugly as sin, and words like "frumpy" and "rottweiler" were used to describe her...especially when Princess Diana was alive. But NOW, more than ten years after Princess Diana's death, and AFTER Prince Charles makes an "honest woman" of her by getting married, lo and behold, all these same people are now describing Camilla as "beautiful"...but to me a homewrecking tramp will NEVER be beautiful, no matter how many magazine covers she graces.

  3. Its not always true. Some people having those so-called "fakes" can also look ugly with it & they better off with their natural looks. And not being frequently going to salon doesn't mean that a person doesn't care for himself. You don't have to do that.

But there are some incidents wherein we have to wear those things such as going to parties, work or facing other people because we want to look presentable.

However it doesn't matter how pretty you are outside but rather focus on how pretty you are inside.  There can be no uglier person in this world than the one who has a rotten attitude.

  4. i try to look as natural as possible (natural hair, little makeup-eyeliner, mascara will do), and some people respect me for my believes, but then there are some people who think that makeup is a god sent thing, they are the ones who don't like me. but then again everyone has there believes, i believe that people are beautiful with or without makeup.

  5. No we do not have naturally ugly people in this world.Everyone is good looking, some just dont care to fix themselves up.

  6. Beauty always refered to something rare and uncommon in the good way? so when u seen someone who ppl considered he/she "beauty". that's because that person takecare her/himselves well while most of the predestrains are not.

  7. Some people always think that the grass is greener on the other side, that someone else is better looking, that if they had this or that, it would make them a better person.  That's why the cosmetics industry and plastic surgeons make so much money.

Even YOU, my friend are contributing to this problem by calling people ugly and talking about them taking better care of themselves.  Does that not say that people are NOT naturally beautiful, in YOUR eyes?  That they must have some work done to be beautiful or 'NOT UGLY'?
