Question:

Why is a question removed after the matter has been resolved ?

I suggested slightly tongue in cheek that Gary Glitter be given a knighthood for services to the government in giving them another opportunity to bury bad news. The matter was resolved but then the question removed as a violation. . OK fair enough it was not phrased as a question. It was in an ironic question, but why remove it after it has been resolved?. It seems a little potty to me. I accept that some questions or answers annoy some people and I will get a violation but this strikes me as rather silly

  1. It is a bit - nobody in their right mind would see that as anything else than a joke - a bit of humour isn't illegal yet is it ?

  2. If resolved questions were not removed there would be no room for new questions

  3. Scouse the answer is not to take the high percentage of idiots that frequent yahoo answers seriously. They are always part of life whatever you do.At the end of the day its just yahoo answers its not going to change anything.

It probably means whoever reported it wanted to win and didnt.

  4. Because when people don't agree with you they try to get even.  Your right it's very silly.

  5. I believe that some questions are removed even though  they break no rules or guidelines. I had a question removed the reason given was "not a question or answer" that was wrong as it contained not one but two (2) questions. I kept emailing asking what part of "xyz" is not a question, eventually they just stopped replying to me.

I believe they removed the question because I used the term United Statesian in it. But for them to agree to such a thing would be to acknowledge that YA engages in politics, and so, they just stopped responding.

    Cheers,

  6. When people don't like your politics,  they get you deleted.

I have had questions deleted weeks after being resolved.

Has happened to me many, many times.
