  1. The same reason a desert is important to the life living there and an ocean is important to the life in it. It is called an ecosystem.


  2. Because it supplies their food, water, shelter, and breeding grounds.  Why is your food, water, air, and house important to you??

The food chain is extremely delicate and depends on all its components to thrive.  The jungle is no different.  All the animals there depend on their environment for support.  Not to mention that you, sitting in front of your computer depend on the jungle thousands of miles away for survival as well.  The jungle purifies and provides molecular oxygen that you breath all the way on the other side of the world.  Also most of our medicines and cures come from the jungle.  The jungle also helps to stabilize the weather patterns all around the world.
