Question:

Why is a volleyball net for women 7 foot 4 inches and 3/4 why is there a 3/4 why couldnt it bee 7 foot 5?

  3. It actually used to be 7'5" years ago but they found out that there was too much of a struggle for girls to reach this height so they deicded to lower it. Personally, I don't see much of a different in 1/4 of an inch but they felt that helped girls out more haha. Hope this helps you understand it more!

  4. It's actually 7 feet 4-1/4 inches.  In metric, 2.24 meters.

    I guess they wanted to come up with a number that can be converted to meters with minimal rounding difference.

    For your 2nd question,  obviously men are generally taller and can jump higher than women.

  5. Can I Play is correct.  The net height is 2.24m and 2.43m and it works out to nearly 7'4" and 8"   It did not work out exactly like that, bit it was close.  

    And the roughly 8" difference in the heights of the nets is because men were an average of 8" taller than women.  And you will notice that a volleyball is roughly 8" in diameter as well.
