Question:

Why is abortion even debated?

Since when is it someone else's business to tell other people how to live their lives. nothing upsets me more than that. when religious, holier-than-thou freak comes along and try to tell other people what they can and cannot do. It is a woman's body and her PERSONAL choice if that's what she wants. If they want to get rid of abortion then get rid of capital punishment too. Murder is murder then right. I believe in god and no i would never get an abortion but i wouldn't tell anyone else that they should not just because that is my belief. what happened to the inalienable rights that the declaration of independence says we have that mccain/palin are trying to take away?

  1. I agree that religion shouldn't be pushed on everyone when it comes to abortion but I myself am against partial birth abortions.  I think it begins to get really iffy as to how far along an abortion can be performed.

  2. Human beings aren't able to understand abortion until they are at least able to speak. So until we can understand what a human being wants before they are able to speak I think it would be a good idea to err on the side of caution and make it illegal to kill them. You don't have to have any religious affiliation to believe human life is something that should be protected.

  3. I will not be silenced. I will stand up for those being murdered. It's only a choice for the mother. The baby or father have no choice. That's selfish! It has nothing to do with being religous.

  4. The reason abortion is debated is that for some people abortion IS murder, and they feel compelled to speak out for those most helpless and innocent who cannot speak for themselves.  For some people, this should not be a matter or "My body, my choice", as the baby has a body but no choice.  I think it is interesting that you bring up inalienable rights, as the primary of these is life...which Obama supports taking away from babies born alive after unsuccessful abortions.  You really CAN'T tell me that you think a baby born alive and breathing should be left on a table to die as "medical waste" now can you?

  5. This is a republican wedge issue. Every four years the say they will do something about it and they don't.If they did then they couldn't use it four years later.

They always fail to point out that Roe V Wade was a unanimous  opinion by the Supreme Court and that 6 republican appointee's were on that court.

  6. I agree! The decision to have a baby is the Womans decision! If SHE wants to have the child or to abort it, it is her DECISION, HER CHOICE! It is HER body afterall right? With the idea that having a child is a womans CHOICE,and DECISION I subject to you we STOP men from having to pay child support for children they did not want because it was the womans CHOICE and DECISION to have the child! The men had no say in the matter, they don't have a right to a DECISION or CHOICE. It's not their bodies so why should they have to pay?

  7. Ejecting part of a living human, that isn't fully developed, is like finding someones arm, a partly developed human, and going to jail for burying it instead of putting it in a test tube and growing the human back. Which if were possible would be a great idea, but should not be a law.
