  1. Acid rain is very harmful to the environment.

    1) All of the sea life will die when the water gets to be too acidic. - fish will die, most of the frogs and insects that live around the water will also die, animals that eat the remains of the food that other animals don’t want, will begin to die and when all this happens, the water gets polluted and everything dies

    2) Trees are also harmed by acid rain  Scientists say that acid rain damages the waxy outer coating that protects the leaves.

    3) Acid rain also harms the soil. - not just for the plants and trees but also for agriculture - it damages the roots.

    4) Decay building materials and paints. - it can damage buildings, statues, and sculptures

    5) Affects people - harm people when they breathe in smog, people eat fish caught in affected lakes or rivers, if the water source is acidic enough, it will react with copper or lead pipes to harm humans

I hope this has been helpful.

  2. Acid rain changes the pH of ponds and lakes preventing some plants from growing and interfering with small animal life that needs neutral water or nearly so.

It also damages stone buildings, changing their appearances as it etches minerals out of the surface.
