Why is advil so bad to take during pregnancy?

I am having the WORST trouble sleeping and I am expecting my BFP any day now, why is advil such a big no no? I miss advil pm.

  1. Take Tylenol PM, Advil is Ibuprofen which cause blood to thin and can cause ulcers, damage the heart and can cause bleeding disorder if used to much.  In pregnancy is can cause detachment of the placenta, internal bleeding, anemia......There were like 20 things my Dr listed as to why not to take anything with Ibuprofen in it.  


  2. Its actually safe until the 3rd trimester...

    Use of the drug in 3rd trimester causes constriction of ductus arteriosus with subsequent pulmonary hypertension and oligohydramnios by affecting fetal renal function. Inhibits labor, prolongs pregnancy.

    Very harmful during the last few months as you can see!


  3. I don't know what's in advil that makes it dangerous, but Tylenol P.M. works just as good right?
