Why is alchhol less dense than water? Explain

  1. The molecules in alcohol aren't packed as closely together as the molecules of water, therefore making there more space in between them. Since there is less in a given volume, it makes it less dense. It's just because of the chemical makeup.

  3. because it has more fumes and alcohol in it making it lighter..... it burns to... well the fumes do.... :-)))
