  1. The expansion of the Universe is an approximation that holds only on the largest scales.  Clusters of galaxies, the galaxies themselves, and the stars and planets within them are not expanding.  You wouldn't have any of those things at all if parts of the Big Bang did not contract.

  2. Samrt kid. Always think outside the box and question the perceived reality.

Andromeda's spectra is blueshifted in regards to us. They say this is because Andromeda is close enough to overcome the expanding effects of magical large-scale cosmological space which is much different than more mundane space found in planetary orbits, between your fingers, and even atomic orbitals. Nor does the dimensions(another type of space) of any embedded objects ever expand.

Between me and you... SPACE IS SPACE! Obviously, something else is causing the redshifts of most galaxies. Perhaps gravitational redshift, dark matter halos are repulsive, or dark energy... nobody really knows fore sure yet...

  3. yes galaxies expand but not in one direction they enpand in all directions thats why andromeda and milky way get bigger and bigger resulting in closing into each other

  4. Galaxies in the Local Group of Galaxies are gravitationally bound.  We're also gravitationally bound to the Virgo Super Cluster.  All these galaxies will merge eventually.  A small back yard telescope under clear dark skies can show you dozens of galaxies between Virgo and Leo.  Great Spring viewing.

  5. the universe is expanding but galaxies and stars are still moving every which way(due to gravity, inertia, momentum and so on) think of it like walking backwards on a vary slow treadmill, you can still get to the end even though your walking against the treadmills rotation. the problem is that your assuming the only way something can move is through the expansion of the universe, this is not the case

  6. the impact . yes that could be due to some collisions of galaxies with either andromeda or our galaxy with some other smaller galaxies billions years ago .only this can alter the velocity or direction of a galaxy.

i believe that universe will start contracting some day to end up in a super dense matter again resulting to bigbang and so on........

  7. gravity lol?

we were ejected at a close distance from the big bang, close enough that gravity isn't ignored

  8. It is the exception to the rule.
