  1. When you get a patent at the US Patent Office, you must show any prior art to prove yours is the original creation.

The term "prior art" is a leagal term.

  2. Okay, the question sounds weird to me because "art" and "creation" can be used in so many ways. Which either means your Proff is very smart or very stupid.

Let's rephrase it one way: "Why is a work of art a creation?"

Let's take a painting for example. Each brush stroke is evidence of the artist's intention. A record of the act of creation. Therefore it is a creation.

"Creation" implies that there is a creator. With all art, there is an artist or artists, a creator or creators-- therefore it is a creation.

"Creation" also implies some sort of intention and awareness. An act of will. When I walk across the room, I'm just walking across the room. But, if I am walking across a stage, in a bear costume, trying to sort of walk like a bear, in front of an audience, then it is a performance. There is intention and awareness-- this performance was a creation.

  3. It starts in the mind. THe solutions are as infinite as the suppliers.

  4. technically art can't be created, like something you can't even understand/comprehend.. it's more of putting different things together... to make something new/never seen so it could be seen as a creation.. haha.. I don't know xD..

  5. Well.. its simple. There is no right or wrong in art. Its only how nice or not nice they are.. but nonetheless.. they are still creations aren't they?
