Why is being g*y or bi looked upon in such a bad way?

Why is it that being g*y or bi looked upon in such a bad way? like for example my friend dont know yet that i am g*y cus she hates g*y people but anyway i should her a picture of these to lguys kissing and she started saying " thats horrible and that is wrong" stuff like that. so why cant people just accept g*y, L*****n, and Bisexuals.

Scenario 1: Imagine how it is for a person like a guy who is g*y to have a girl come up to him and kiss him?  I do not think he would be too comfortable about that.

Scenario 2: Now Imagine how it is for a straight guy to have some guy come up to him and just kiss him? I bet he's going to feel the same way as the other person in the first scenario.

Some straight people will either accept the fact the someone is g*y/bi/L*****n and some people wont and others just wont care, it's just how it is.

its because we were brought up by straight people,and belived thats how it was.

and so being g*y or L*****n is a new thing,andd they see it as wrong.

and most people think its discusting (it so isnt)

and dont think that we are happy with same s*x.

and theythink were different cos were g*y.

but if yu come out to you friend they will change there mind,and will understand and properly be fine with lesbians and g**s.

I cannot understand why, in this day and age, there is still prejudice against g*y people.

Nothing you ever do is wrong, as long as it does not hurt anyone else.

And I do not think that applies in this case.

I believe that society is afraid of change. And they are afraid of people being different. They think that we should all just be brainwashed people who support war, anti-drugs, and the attempt to wipe out g**s. Society doesn't let us have the right to be truly free. When we are supposed to live in a free country. I mean you can't even be your true self without somebody shunning you for it. I believe that people just hate g**s because they are different. I myself, am a L*****n. And i am proud of it. and I told my friends and they got over it. So, if she's your friend she will just get over it. That's how I feel.

I don't hate g*y people. There are a lot of people who hate them because they are afraid. They think to be the best. But people who hate g**s are wrong. God loves everybody.

you are who you are, in the uk people are slowly starting to accept g*y people i have many g*y friends and they are great friends, i have 3 young sons and i bring them up to accept people as they are and should any one of them be g*y i would stand by them as what ever they are they are still my boys i,d hope in the future people that people will stop being so judgemental and get on with their own lives and let you get on with yours in peace

Because some people see Homosexuals and Bisexuals as 'Different' and weird, i personally am Bi, so i have nothing against g**s.

Straight people  (no offence) can see being g*y as 'Wrong' because there not. It can be very upsetting though when your told that your wrong and horrible. I understand. If your going to tell her, and she cant except it, then she isn't really a friend is she?

This is the truth. People think of g*y as something dirty and gross. My brother is a clean fanatic and is g*y. But, no straight guys in my family want him to sleep in their house. It is what it is.  Straight guys usually like pretty lesbians, though. It is what it is.

We all fear what we do not understand. It is hard for people to try and undertsand things like sexuality. For example a pic of 2 guys getting it on does nowt for me, but you may get off on it. I don't hate guys who dig guys, or girls who dig girls or all who dig the whole shooting match (althouigh i am kind of envious of the person that can walk into a room and go alright!!!). Anyhow to stray away from the "its fashionable to like g*y people" It just shows a lack of education and intelligence. We all dig different things, whether its the people we go with or the food we eat. For example with 2 guys one might get off on Chinese women and the other may like French women, different types, but they don't deal out on each other and say thungs like, "I hate guys that dig chinese women etc, etc". Your friend sounds like they need an education and to get into life a bit more.

There are a lot of factors, my friend.

Mostly, because of religion and society.

Religion plays such a big part because, its taught in churches and temples and such that being g*y or bi is wrong. that man and woman are supposed to be a match, but thats not true.  (i'm gonna use the bible here because i'm more familiar with it)

The bible for one does not mention anything wrong about being g*y. Its ambiguous. Seriously, check that.

and of course by the official that want to seem righteous in accordance with the "law" of the bible. Thus spreading the word of how they are "not g*y" and want to world to be "g*y free" and how its "a sin to be g*y"

as for everyone esle, they were taught to be that way since they were young from either one of these public figures. It didnt occur to them to interact with any one of us to find out how we're like before classifying it as "disgusting or wrong". There's a whole tunnel of things i can dwell into if you get me started, but the main point is.

People, in general, who dont open their mind to other things, such as being g*y, or handicapped, or born intellectually disable or another race or color, religion, or gender (yes these are the common discriminations faced by a lot of people), are the type of people that will hinder the society from ever progressing into something harmonious and prosperous because of something that they either do not know very well, met the wrong group of people at that time or have no opinion of their own. Using this excuse to put down anyone who is different, even though the discriminated could be better than them.
