  1. Because we have different cultures. They have no courtship period. They have flirting then s*x.

  2. Tell him to stop thinking with the wrong head.

  3. There sure is cultural difference there. We too have some things that we cant just understand if we have not fully understood a person's background.

You can probably invite him for coffee and discuss this with him. Try to be as casual as possible so you wouldn't be offending him as well. Introduce to him who you truly are and introduce a bit of our culture too.

I cant give you that much details with your inquiry since you didnt mention if he is flirting with you or he is annoyed with what you do.

    Anyway, I hope this helps.

  4. It's a man thing. Being sweet equates to giving attention to somebody. and if that somebody doesn't get that much attention in general, your actions may be misinterpreted. I'd suggest holding off on the sweetness. just be nice. to everyone.

  5. because they're too malicious... try being sweet too, with that american co-worker...

  6. I love reading classic novels and 'being sweet' those days actually means flirting. When somebody say " you're being sweet on her" means you are giving her special attention and care, and that my dear, is considered flirting. I think it comes from that.

Just remember that there's nothing wrong with being sweet, as long as you both now that what you have is nothing more but friendship and your relationship is strictly platonic. You can be sweet on any friend as long as it is within the bounds of friendship.

  7. beacause he's from a first world country, and he thinks that every pinay is out to get him for a husband. haha. typical onax mentality.

  8. there is such thing as sweet and very sweet.  don't over do it. sometimes, its ok to keep on smiling and to be very caring but there are also days when we have to refrain from doing such. smile but not all the time. say hi but only once and avoid going too close to that guy..

  9. Maybe your sweetness goes beyond what he deems is natural sweetness and thus thinks you're flirting.  Maybe in his life no one has been that sweet to him without giving the wrong signals and thus thinks you're like the rest of them and is trying to flirt with him, too.  It all really depends on how a person interprets another person's gestures and sees more than what it really is but if you think that it isn't making you comfortable, you can always tell him that your sweetness connotes nothing except that it is part of your nature to be sweet and kind.

  10. because it sometimes is....

  11. Being sweet is just that you are comfortable to your friends. But must have limitations that it doesn't look you flirting. Just ignore them. Just believe in yourself.

  12. Just don't be sweet anymore and keep it on a professional level.
