Why is being wasteful bad?

I leave all of my lights, tv, radio, and computer on 24 hours a day. I never recycle. I also litter all the time.

Your electric bill must be pretty high.  I bet your parents love that. Turning off things when you're not using them saves energy and money.

Littering makes our world harder to live in.  How would you like your house full of trash and waste? I bet you wouldn't.  Same thing when you litter.

Littering is against the law.

Recycling saves more room for us on the planet.  There's only so much room for us and the trash.  The things we recycle do not go away quickly and would only hang around for thousands of years.  More sensible to reuse them.

THE MORE GARBAGE WE PRODUCE THE LESS LAND WE'LL HAVE. AND 90 PERCENT OF THE **** IN YOUR HOUSE IS NON-RENEWABLE, WHICH MEANS EVEN IF YOU DO RECYCLE, IT'S ONLY 10 PERCENT OF EVERYTHING WHICH MEANS WE ARE RUNING OUT OF **** TO USE ON EARTH. Im with you Paul C. I do it all the time as well theres nothing wrong with it lol. Although I 'm probably worse being that our family drive gas guzzlers and have 3 supersize air cons lol.And if any of you dumb asses thought that we eco haters put questions like these up because we really dont know then your the dumb 1 it's funny to see what yu greenies say..... Because it wastes valuable (and sometimes non-renewable) resources.  It means we'll run out of space and items faster (because of landfills, etc.).  And littering is terrible because it's lazy and harmful to the environment.

The earth is finite - we can't go get another one. Many resources are renewable, many are not.  If you are using nonrenewable resources, like oil for example, we only have so much of it, and it has to go around 6 billion people in the world.  We use a lot of oil in our daily lives - a lot of people get electricity by burning coal.  Coal has to be mined which degrades the earth by taking away resources from other plants and animals.  The smoke from burning coal is very detrimental to the environment, including our air to breathe and our oh-so-popular ozone layer.  

I try to keep in mind that everyone on the earth needs the same things, and there are only so much of those things to go around.  I am no more important that anyone else, so I shouldn't be entitled to 100x more electricity just because I work hard, try hard, pay taxes, have internet needs, etc.  We all do all of those things.  We need to take care of our resources if we want our species to survive.

Either you are completely stupid or just looking to see what responses you can get for your own amusement?

Firstly the more electricity you use, the more fuel we have to burn to provide it... our natural resources wont be around for ever and we need to start conserving for future generations..  TURN OFF LIGHTS WHEN NOT IN USE, PUT YOUR COMPUTER ON STAND BY FOR GOODNESS SAKE... REDUCE YOUR BILLS AT THE SAME TIME!!

Secondly, recyling items such as plastic, and paper is just good common sense! our landfills are overflowing with garbage and we need to reduce their intake, before we have no where to put it all..  Petrolium is used to produce plastic products and these can be recycled in to many other things, again saving what natural resources we have left.  Paper is made from trees, if we can recycle all our used and unwanted paper, we would save millions of oxygen producing trees every year...  HELP YOUR EARTH BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!

Thirdly, Littering creates an unsitely mess in our cities, towns and countrysides...  littering is a breading ground for bacteria, rodents, insects, unhygenic etc etc....  The cost of cleaning up litter filled streets is costing tax payers lots of money!!!...   FIND A GARBAGE CAN AND PUT IT IN....

The reason for the light, radio ect. being wasteful is wasting energy. littering is bad for several reasons. One, being that animals would eat it and hurt their bodies and kill them.  It would go into the soil and take away its nutrients. recycling is good because you reuse things and you don't have to make more and more, because when you so that that litters the Earth even more and it is probably made in a factory which uses electricity, and the smoke would pollute the air.

Who pays the electric bill where you live?  You, your parents, the condominium?

I bet the condo and your parents would appreciate the drop in the electric bill.  You sound like you don't care.

-You may need it later on

-There is harm to the tv and computer most likely.
