Why is benitez treating alonso as if barry is better than him

you always here him saying it we need to sell xabi to finance the barry transfer but why. xabi is way better barry is know for good passing xabi is one of the best passers in the world plus has a brilliant shot on him. benitez just doesnt give him enough chances. i think barry would be a good sighning but not at the expence of alonso

i have to say that xabi is an excellent player but he is inconsistent. barry is consistent throughout. but i want xabi to stay and spend cash on a winger - i.e silva who we should be going after not another center midfielder

benitez got a strange habit of overlooking his fringe players. but usually these players are the players that can win games for him...eg are crouch..and now alonso...pity liverpool supporters.. they got a funny manager...

Alonso undermimed Rafas authority twice recently,thats why he is going,Benitez will not accept indiscipline and will remember.

As a Villa fan it is really annoying that this is just a never-ending saga.
