Why is biology a required course of study?

i need a detailed explanation as to why it is a required course of study in highschool or college or whatever

Villhelm is right.  And it is in your best interest.  I am sure that you are a wonderful warm human being, but every wonderful warm human being is also a biological system.

Additional details: think about all the controversial areas where biology impacts our lives, from refuting creationist nonsense to policy on genetic manipulation to the emergence of resistant strains of pests to the problems of habitat loss and the extinction of species... You want to be able to think intelligently about these things, because they matter.

Have a quick flip through your textbook, and I am sure you can come up with lots more examples.

I'd imagine that your school board (or whoever is setting the curriculum) has decided that knowing some basic biology is in the best interests of students.  You could ask them why it's a requisite course.

The problem lies in your phrasing of the question.  For many courses biology isn't a required course of study.  For example, if studying English, German, Mathematica, Physics and Economics, you don't need to study Biology.

Then you need to rephrase it, by the way, so it makes some sense.  For example, what courses might you be trying to ask about?  Terms such as "whatever" aren't informative enough.

Please write a question that makes sense.  As Biology isn't a required course for many studies, your present question doesn't make sense.  Which courses are you trying to ask about?

We are biological objects. Individual psychology, social behavior, all that things are based on biology.
