Why is bottom set of my teeth in the back sensistive to cold food?

When I chew on something cold like a cold watermelon, that particular area of my teeth is sensitive to it.

  1. sometimes people have sensitive teeth because of worn enamel, sometimes it's because you have a cavity in that area. but if it's not a specific tooth, and is a general pain that fades when you hold the watermelon there, it's probably just sensitivity. either deal with it or get a toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
