Do they have a special contract? If so for how long and how did they get it?

  1. To have your product featured in tv shows or movies you have to pay millions.  budweiser is a company that can afford it.  If you watch some shows and they have fake beer labels that you never heard of or they blur out the label thats because no one paid to be shown.  To have their product in a movie or tv show its considered a commercial and they have to pay big bucks

  2. Because they are the king of beers!!!

  3. i noticed that on TV the other day , the beer can kind of looked like a bud can , you know the design , but it didn't actually say Budweiser on it , it just said beer ...

i think they just use the general color and design because its the most popular recognizable beer in America

  4. They're a big company and can afford the product placement which yes, they do pay for.  There's a classic scene in a Wayne's World movie (can't remember which one) where they kind of poke fun at product placement by having a good minute or so of the movie where they just pimp Dominos and Reebok which is hilarious because they probably paid for the whole movie in that one scene.  I'm pretty sure product placement is handled on a case by case basis.

In Two and a Half Men the product is obvious but I don't think they ever actually display the name of the bottle.  Charlie seems to like Corona and Kirin Ichiban though but I have seen Budweiser on the show too.

Other beers do make it though, I've seen Abita in the movie Waiting and the Dogfish Head guys are personal friends of the people at Reno 911 and their beer is always featured.

A lot of times if a movie can't get the green light they just make up products such as the "Goldslick" found in Superbad.

  5. The beer business is BIG business,

and Budweiser is in the top few! I'm not

so sure about weather or not they have

a special  contract or not, but I'm sure

that they get a Good % for the flashing

of their cans!!  lol "No pun intended"

So Hollywood, I think it's all about

    the ADVERTISING!!!

I hope this was helpful 2u!

    BTW, How did your friend

    like the gift?

    Just curious.

  6. I think because it is such a popular brand name. It is the "All American Beer,"  no matter what us beer snobs think of it. The audience sees the character as one of us because he drinks Budweiser-our beer. The other beers do ot have the connection with the American people that Budweiser does. Rarely we see Bud Light or Michelob but no other A-B brands. Plus all the marketing reason previously given above.

How do the get the placement ads? Try contacting a marketing firm that specializes in such.

It is interesting to note that Anheuser-Busch owns 50.2% of Grupo Modelo Brewing Co which brews Corona. That is why Charlie drinks Corona V Bud. It stills serves A-B.

I just seen a scene (?) with Charlie drinking a Beck's. (his character sure likes boring beer)

You may post this question in the film section for their input.

I have seen Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in movies and television.

  7. they are a big company with an excellent marketing dept. that does a lot of product placement in films

  8. beer companys pay millions to have there drink in movies or they get millions from the producer, because they wanted to use the name/product in the movie,it's called marketing
