If men have to pay more it can only mean that men are a higher risk

Men drive faster, take more risks, and have more accidents. If you were a betting person (like insurance companies are - they are betting you won't have an accident!) which would you rather give insurance to? Male or female?

Auto insurance is higher for men in the United States as well.  Men are more risker drivers than women.  More risky equal higher premiums due to higher payouts by the insurance companies.  Sorry I don't make the rules, we just have to live by them.

I don't know exactly why...

But insurance statistics show that 2/3 of all deaths from accidents are men.
