  1. I laugh at all the people who think they are going to count cards...and so do most casinos.

    1) it is alot harder then it seems

    2) most people cannot do it correctly and only give a larger edge to the house

    3) large deck shoes and continuous shuffling shoes make it next to worthless to even try unless your a freakin math prodigy.

your best bet is to play basic and some advanced strategy and hope for a bit of luck.

  2. I read somewhere that it is harder to kick people out of a casino in Atlantic City than it is in Vegas.  Something to do with local laws and the ability of the casino to deny a legitimate legal bet.

But the truth is casinos LOVE card counters.  Fact is for every hundred people who try, there's probably only a handful that succeed, the rest lose their butts!  Casinos can even combat counting with more frequent shuffles or tighter betting ranges, or subtle changes to the rules.

I bet they are so happy that 21 came out, and now all these idiots will show up trying to count cards.  They are going to make a killing.

  3. Did you have to ask? Now they're gonna know.

  4. Where did you hear or read that? While card counting is not illegal, casinos (in Vegas, AC or wherever) don't want the odds turning in your favor. They don't stay in business by letting you win. If they suspect that you're card counting, they do this via the eye in the sky, watching you closely and your betting, they can and will ask you to leave. Usually you will be "escorted" out by security guards or into a room where there are no cameras....

  5. They all hate card counters at least the effective ones a lot of people believe their system wotks and that the basic concept of card counting is easy but when playing in a live casino its a lot harder than it sounds

  6. it's cause of the laws, they cant decline to take action, however they are keen on if you are a card counter, and what that can/will do is force a card counter to flat bet, and not be able to vary their bets, therefore missing out on the reason to card count, which is to get more in when it's good for the player.
