Why is chalk blue ??

Yeah I am being one but I just wanted to see if this gets a violation I have had 3 in 15 minutes guidlines my ----

just the most common ive seen it many othercolors black red green for example

To match the felt.  Also I heard once that the blue man group won the rights to pool chalk in the early 80's.  That may have something to do with it.  Whats a violation?

I think it has to do with the light, and the chalk absorbs the blue part of the spectrum of light.  j/k
