I am nearing the end of my introductory service agreement, In which I'm paying about 66.00 for internet and cable. I have heard that my rate will jump up to 80 to 100. Am i better off getting the dish for tv, and just keeping my internet. AT&T is not available yet.

  1. With no other cable companies to compete for customers, why should Comcast (or any other provider) actually work to provide good service for low prices?

Dump them and go with satellite.  We went with Dish because they were cheaper at the time, but check both companies out to see what specials they're running.

  2. i know its ridiculous. i don't like there television and i just got att for my cell so i don't need a home phone but i do have there internet and it cost me 65 a month. its so high but the service is great.

  3. Hi Spike,

It is hard to know what to do.

I am paying $98.42 a month for Comcast Expanded basic and high speed Internet. That includes taxes and "fees".

I have good service, hardly ever a glitch but the cost seems out of line for what they are giving me.

Until there is competition in the cable market the providers can price it where they want to. They have a monopoly and they know it. We are the ones that pay the penalty.
