  1. I plan on OUSTING my Congressman............I hope others are paying attention and do the same.  I do NOT understand that people keep voting these socialists back into office.  It is no longer My America where one through hard work and sweat can succeed in this Country.  Government needs to BUTT OUT and let our free enterprise system actually work.  It seems everything they stick their frigin noses in, ends up a disaster.

  2. Congress officially controls nothing anymore, look at the John Warner Defense Authorization Act, the president has total control over all branches

  4. i personally dont like goverment and i never will if you all ask this  to yourselves...to the goverment.WHO GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT I CAN AND CANT DO because if you think hard WETHE PEOPLE HAVE NO FREEDOM..ask this why do we need to pay to go to a park ..orwhy do activists get arrestedfor speaking out....at the same time it is freedom of speech that we are being arrested for no it dont make sence   just like the park  this being GODS land   did people back then indure this as well.....just like the inviroment...they say it is safe  example nuclear energy   solar energy  THINK ABOUT IT     IS IT ALL SAFE....this world is going down not up look at what we breath in     can that be safe....

  5. Because we let them. The House of Representatives is where all spending bills originate. Even those which require spending for new programs of restricting behavior. That's set forth in Article One of the Constitution. The election cycle in that same article gives us the opportunity to "overthrow" the government every two years by electing new Members to the House of Representatives. But, the current Members have a re-election rate of over 90%. The other tool in their kit is knowing that less than half the people in their district even know their name, about the same percentage of eligible voters who aren't even registered to vote. A much smaller percentage have ever read the Constitution and about the same percentage pay even minimum attention to the doings of Congress beyond reading a headline and the first paragraph of a news story.

  6. its their job to pass laws, maybe we should have a maximum amount of laws that can be passed a year

  7. because the Dems control Congress and they, as a group, micro-manage everything. When Conservatives, who know how to fix problems and resolve issues get back into Congress, you will see a difference. America needs to stop voting for the 'pretty', well-spoken candidate and vote for people who get good things done.

  8. I once asked an Argentinian how he dealt with frequent coup d

etats.  He said: "you go to work one day and General X is running the country, you go to work the next and its General Y.

    "Who Cares!"

No one controls your life but you.  If you don't like it, run for Congress!

  9. -Thomas Jefferson

“If once the people become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, Judges and Governors, shall all become wolves. It seems to be the law of our general nature, in spite of individual exceptions.”

    -John Adams

“Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people.”

“The way to secure liberty is to place it in the people's hands, that is, to give them the power at all times to defend it in the legislature and in the courts of justice”

    -Alexis De Tocqueville

“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money”

    -Patrick Henry

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”

    -Abraham Lincoln

"Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for that is the only safeguard of our liberties."

" I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts."

"You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

"The people will save their government, if the government itself will allow them."

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
