Why is corn going down ?

i bought long at 605 and now its gon down to 520 i thought food prices were going up so i thought it was a good bet ?

    like they forgot it was harvest time and there is more corn on the market?

    Please.

    Actually, the pre-planting estimates for corn were to be a lot (a lot) of corn.  Bad weather, a drought, lots of rain.  And voila! the crop it doing better than expected!

    But, there is a catch.  Remember how they planted more corn than ever?  They really didn't plant as much as they think they did, so...

  4. It is harvest time. When all the supply floods the market.

    You should avoid investing in things where you don't understand too much about them.


  5. The weather has improved ...no more floods... the crop will be a big successful one...and the " supply" is easily going to meet the " demand".   Ethanol getting " bad press", also.
