Why is corned beef so expensive where I live?

I lived in Florida for 5 years, corned beef was a weekly meal for us and many other people. We moved to the Ozark Mountains last year, at the store the price is triple than what we used to pay in Palm Beach!

Corned Beefian knowledge in the beautiful Ozarks.

Isn't the cool mountain air in the Ozarks you breathe every day worth a few extra Corned Beef Bucks?

face it everything has gone up.  Could be that it's not as popular where you are now, as compared to palm beach.  I was shocked when I looked at them at the store last week and discovered the cheapest one was going for around $12  I am used to paying $5 or $6 for it, and I'm in Kansas.
