Because the preamble to the constitution says ,we......give it to ourselves', all in English, an alien language for the masses of India and that too when the literary rate was nearly '0', when the constitution was adopted.

So, right from the beginning, people of India do not know what is right and what is wrong, legally.

Corruption system runs like a NGO in India. It is a open secret. Everybody knows what is happening  and everybody wants to do the same. The lowest level of bribery in India starts with Hizras(bisexuals) when if u give Rs:5/- only you can pass on, otherwise should face their harassment...!!!

Highest level is at PM's Office. Everybody knows about this illegal Nuclear deal.

like if we want our work to be done early we offer money

workers, or whoever is doing that work takes it for granted and takes it as if that money/bribe is his/her  right

If there was corruption among spiders, there will be no spiderwebs, because who would care to try again and again - perhaps they too would give rishvat (Indiana Jones  - Temple of Doom ) and sleep over.

Therefore most Indians seem to be taking the easy way out, which ultimately becomes the most corrupt and ugly way of life for the most poor, most deserving, but the most neglected lot.

As a result the Indians as a whole end up projecting a very poor image.

americans have absolutely NO clue how clean the US is in regards to corruption and/or racism compared to the rest of the world.

corruption happens everywhere, but at least in America when you get found out, you are - at the very least - branded a criminal.

ethics and integrity are rated very highly in the US

Curruption is universal. All other countries progressed with curruption. We are so currupt that we start eating our own tail and become handicapped before we realise our mistakes.
