Because this is a new generation for cricket and its lovers . i.e. the 20-20 Format. This kind of format is suitable for a batsman as all teams wants to score around 200 in just 120- balls. And this work can only be done by Batsman like Shehwag , Gambhir, Yuvraj etc.

no..i think that people nowadays need enjoyment rather than real cricket..people enjoy hard shots and balls disappearing in the crowds with huge sixes rather than a low scoring tie..so the pitches too are made batsmen friendly to bring maximum crowds in...i think your concern is that of a geniune cricket fan...

Because people like hitting sixes and boundries more then you took catch or runout. so thats why the pitches are batsmen friendly. but im not agree with your second comment, you can see the quality bowling even in asia of Vaas, Umer Gul, Murali. Bond , Lee, Clarke, Steyn are other who play in more good pitches
