hi i'm doing a project can anyone tell me why cubism is so important to art???

  1. Picasso adapted it to get people to see things in a different way. He succeeded. The actual style is not what is important, it is the success of it. Other artists centuries before had made cubist works, even if they did not realise it. But the cubist movement is important because people saw it. Whether they loved it or hated it did not matter, it was all promotion.
