Why is democracy considered as best form of government?

on what year are you? if you're doing this for a college class you might as well think in a broader perspective. Democracy may be good for the US but not necessarily for everyone. Perhaps you can do some read about the position of Asian leaders like Mahathir Mohammad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia regarding totalitarianism and asian values and how it reconciles Islamic, Confucian and Hindu beliefs . Or perhaps do some research on how Low income Russians suffer from the Moscow Winter due to the lack of housing infrastructure and how this could have contributed to the success of the Bolshevik Revolution that lead to the creation of the then Soviet Union and how these problems recur in the democratic Russia that exists today. You can also compare Democratic India with Socialist one-party China, and how their respective economic growth trickle down to common citizens. But the bottom line is saying that a democracy is the best because it made the United States successful over the years hence propagate it to everyone in the planet is a complete absurdity. Your founding fathers designed the principles that governed your land in order to resolve issues from within. I hope Americans could give the rest of the world the chance to lay the foundations that your fathers did with respect to our own cultural and ethnic composition and social issues.
