Diamonds are weird haha, they say there a girl best friend because of the way it shines and shimmers and because of the cost! Girls like to show the diamond off, especially if its a couple $1000s or more. Just like how guys like showing off there new vehicle and stuff. People like to show off, they may not know it but they do. They also say diamonds are forever, but diamonds will end up turning into carbon in millions of years, i know thats a long time, but to say they are forever is false haha.

Diamonds are nothing but just a combination of tightly-packed carbon items; this is how a technical guy would define it! *grin*

Jokes aside, I guess it is just a pure marketing gimmick to promote that "diamonds are a girl's best friend" for incremental sales!
