  1. Distilled water in your stomach will create a dilution of minerals thereby creating chances of a rise in osmotic pressure n therefore the solution in the stomach will try to get into an equillibrium by increasing its concentration of minerals n for this it'll take minerals from your body/blood. So, drinking distilled water may not be fatal all the time but it sure creates an unwanted shift n disturbance of equillibrium. U must be thinking if unbalance of mineral concentration can cause these probs, then how can we eat all types of food i mean acidic, basic n all n still our stomach does not get affected, ask me I'll reply !!

  2. I think you are in a wrong impression, b'coz distilled water is safe to drink, but it is used more often for research purposes where water purity is essential or industrial uses where mineral deposits can cause damage over time.

There is some controversy over the use of distilled water as a healthier alternative to tap, spring or purified water. One camp suggests that distilled water is beneficial since it contains no impurities or minerals and helps flush away excess minerals and toxins from the body. Another camp believes that distilled water leaches essential minerals from the body and could leave teeth vulnerable to damage. Distilled water does not contain sodium fluoride, unlike many municipal water systems.

There is some evidence that distilled water does absorb carbon dioxide when exposed to air, and this could conceivably lower the pH to a more acidic level. This increased acidity can in turn create more health problems. Proponents of distilled water suggest that humans receive far more minerals and nutrients from food than water, so the effects of distilled water on the body should be minimal at best. The flavor of distilled water can be improved with natural fruit juices or essences, if necessary.

  3. because it tasted like S**t

  4. If the distilled alcohol is good and tasty for some, than what is wrong with water ?

  5. no, it's not.   it's processed..   the oxygen has been removed through the steam process.

it's flat,  no mineral content and no oxygen, as said.

    regular filtered is much better...

  6. I'm not completely sure, so I googled it.  Check these web sites...each gives a different side:

  7. "YES" IT IS  TRUE.

DISTILLED WATER IS NOT GOOD FOR HEALTH.

  8. That's not true...I drink distilled water all the time.  I buy it in Rite Aid drug stores in a gallon jug.  It's much cheaper than your usual bottled water.

I think some people talk against it because it doesn't have fluoride in it to "protect" your teeth.

  9. you can drink it, but it is not good to drink it all the time because it lacks the essential minerals and electrolytes a human body requires.

  10. IT IS NOT FIT FOR DRINKING AS IT LACK MINERALS WHICH ARE IMPORTANT FOR ARE BODY

  11. I've never heard this...

  12. it doesnt have minerals which is required for our body

  13. bcoz distilled water dosntt contains minearls required by our body for its proper functioning.

  14. It's fine to drink distilled water. It just doesn't taste as good as water that has minerals in it. Though it could (especially if it's cold) actually taste better than some over-chlorinated or sulfur-tasting city water.
