  1. killing animals for fur alone is pointless and cruel, however eating meat is a luxury we can afford these days, as we technically dont need it...but we drive cars, when we dont need to, we use electricity when we dont need to

i have no problems with the vegetarian way of life, but when one brings up that im bad for eating meat

i simply bring up that they are using cars and electricty which harms the planet aswell...they usually dont have much to say after that

we are ALL responsible for this planet, and everyone must choose whether to do somthing or nothing

but just because someone eats meat doesnt mean they dont care in other ways

for example, an omnivore that eats meat once a week, walks to work, uses solar pannels on thier house is going to be far more environmentally friendly than a vegetarian who drives a hummer, burns wood and gas in thier house and drives everywhere

  2. Why eating meat is bad:

You can get diseases and health problems from eating meat, such as cancers (meat is carcinogenic), obesity, Alzheimer's, high cholesterol, heart diseases, impotence (for men), hypertension, anemia, arthritis, etc. Of course you can get these diseases without eating meat, but the chances are 0.72 compared to meat eaters. And with all the blood, f***s, urine, hormones, & mucous/pus that comes with it from the animal, can't imagine that be any good for you! And fish meat can contain high amounts of mercury which can lead to mercury poisoning.

Sure meat may have protein (human meat even does), etc, but you can get protein & other nutrients in non-animal sources, and plant sources are easier to digest.

Not to mention what meat production and consumption does to the:

Animals: More than 27 billion animals are killed for food every year in the U.S. alone. Animals in factory farms have no legal protection from cruelty that would be illegal if it were inflicted on dogs or cats, including neglect, mutilations, genetic manipulation, drug regimens that cause chronic pain and crippling, transport through all weather extremes, and gruesome and violent slaughter. Farmed animals are no less intelligent or capable of feeling pain than are the dogs and cats we cherish as our companions. They are inquisitive, interesting individuals who value their lives, solve problems, experience fear and pain, and are capable of using tools. According to animal-behavior scientists, chickens begin learning from their mothers while they are still in their shells, pigs can play video games better than some primates can, and fish form social bonds and can remember things that they have learned for the human equivalent of 40 years.

Environment: Nearly half of the water and 80 percent of the agricultural land in the United States are used to raise animals for food. About one-third of the raw materials used in America each year is consumed by the farmed animal industry. Farmed animals produce about 130 times as much excrement as the entire human population of the United States, and since factory farms don't have sewage treatment systems as our cities and towns do, this concentrated slop ends up polluting our water, destroying our topsoil, and contaminating our air.

And world hunger: Raising animals for food is extremely inefficient—for every pound of food that they eat, only a fraction of the calories are returned in the form of edible flesh. If we stopped intensively breeding farmed animals and grew crops to feed humans instead, we would easily be able to feed every human on the planet with healthy and affordable vegetarian foods.

(I reccomend the china study, also.)

  3. 1) unlike humans, they cant really fend us off, we have guns!

    2) they are bred and used in the worst way, think holocaust for animals

    3) we are racist about animals, a cow is just as cute as your cat! and i dont see you eating fluffy with your steak!

    4) fur is not right. it was in older times, when we NEEDED it to keep warm. but we dont need it.

    5) watch videos from peta or peta2 ( the teen one) and you'll see wat i mean

    6) its not that im saying you CANT im saying how i feel.

  4. Nothing is "good" or "bad" there are just wise choices and unwise choices. Its up to each of us to choose for ourselves. I have been a vegan for 13 years so far, but I wouldn't say eating meat or wearing fur is "bad".

  5. I am a Texan and eat every animal you can imagine (elk, deer, pig, cow, and much more).

  6. god put animals on this earth for us to eat. it is in the bible. there is nothing wrong with it.

  7. There's nothing bad about it. It becomes bad because of falls beliefs. How can we survive without eating meat for the rest of our lives?

  8. eating- not bad. Animals eat other animals, its natural! It is how we are created, look at our teeth!

Wearing fur- killing just to wear it is unmoral, but if the animal is being harvested for food, mind as well use everything.!

  9. animals are living things

    they have lives!!!

they are better than humans to me

they love you no matter what

    they are innocent creatures
