  1. The acids that are in the peppers or whatever burn the calories.

  2. Nonsense

The spices (peppers) add only a tiny amount of nutrients

the other herbs have medicinal value as well as adding flavor.

Since many people eat spoiled meat the spicy peppers are still added to hide that

  3. I am a former chef and a resident chili head, and the first 2 lady's are right the guy is a NUT, it not only aids in digestions, it also allows the food to absorb the nutrients better, helps the acid and lining of the intestines process the foods, and they use cayenne pepper for people with heart problems as it is a natural blood thinner and lowers the fat and cholesterol is some foods.

Look at the cultures with spicy cuisines, Mexico, Thailand, Indian, the other Asian countries, they have lower rates of heart disease, cancers like colon and liver, they have longer lives and are regular if you know what I mean, I have had foods so spicy my hair hurt, I had a dish in London England in an Indian restaurant called "Phaal" a curry based dish with 12 peppers in the sauce, you have to sign a waiver before they will serve you, I also have 3 fire hydrants from the Anchor Bar in Buffalo NY for eating a plate of there suicide wings, I may be a bit overweight and have arthritis, but no heart problems at least none I am aware of.
