  1. the reason for education is the curiosity to learn more that man has always had we as a race want to be able to know everything

  2. Education is like aerobics fro teh mind-it's not so much what you learn -it is the fact that you are learning---

the learning process helps you to become a thinker.

  3. With education, comes knowledge.

    With knowledge, comes power.

  4. 1) I used to work with a bunch high-school dropouts at a construction company several years ago and these "geniuses" actually believed that building was spelled BIDNIL, home: HUME, box: BAX, valve: VALVAL, concrete: CANCRETE, pipe: PIP, square: SKUAR, a SKUAR(square) has only one side to it, 8+7=17, 9*1=91, 4 feet 9 inches= 49 inches, and this is just the beginning of their "ism's" these idiots actually believed in. Unless, a person actually whats to get stuck working around a pack of brain-dead morons for the rest of their lives, an education is a must.

Edit:BTW, nothing is more embarrassing than having a Major General of the US Air Force, Two-Star General, coming up to you, while they are dressed in full uniform, and you get asked "How can you stand working with those loud mouth idiots?" It is embarrassing enough when you have a Full-Bird Colonal ask you this but when a Two-Star General ask you this than you start thinking "What would propective employers think of me if they saw me working with these morons?" :-(

    2) For the individual, it truly depends on what they what to do in life. I myself, after 5 years of dropping out of college and working two years with these morons, I decided to go back to college. I'm majoring in Computer and Electrical Engineering where I'm maintaining a 4.0. My goal in life is to prove that a person with a disability can accomplish anything they set their mind to other than learn the proper ways of scrubbing some sh*tty, nasty *ss toilet for a living.

Without a proper education, doctors would not exist. So if you are in dire need of medical attention, you better pray for a miracle because without doctors their is little chance of surviving.

    3) I'll found out this coming summer when I attend my 20th high school class reunion and this"class r****d" throws a copy of my career portifolio in my former classmates faces, all 60+ pages, and I watch their surprised reaction in their faces when they read what I have done with myself. My portifolio includes academic awards from my college, acceptance to join the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, the 2007 National Dean's List, work that I have done while in college, and an invitation from the International Scholar Laureate Program to attend the Engineering Delegation in China this summer. Paybacks is a b*tch!!!!

  5. I agree education should be important to everyone, even those with LD.

I was told education should not be important

to me since I find everything so difficult and

    throw in the towel.
