  1. Besides the obvious learning coming from education. Completing higher education is usually tough and must be worked for, but it also acts as a proof to an employer that you will work hard for something and strive to be "somebody" and as such many employers will believe that if you put that much hard work into education, why wouldn't you put that much work into your career or employment?

  2. I used to live an area where the majority of people had training and education after high school.  Now I live in an area where education is not valued and most people do not get education after high school.  Many people have a hard time finding a job because there are so many people who are just as qualified as they are.

Also many people make good money doing things that don't require an education, but they may not have job security.  In times when the economy is bad everyone is looking for a job and not as many people are hiring.  If you have education you will still be in demand in times when the economy is bad.  Think: teachers, doctors, nurses, police officers.

  3. Today's society couldn't function without it.

There would be no medicine, no technology, no housing, no nothing (yikes double negative lol).

We would be living like caveman without it...not saying that cavemen live a bad life. The simplicity of it seems really cool!

  4. If education were that important, Bush wouldn't be president.

  5. Because we need to be educated to have jobs. And we need jobs to build communities and sustain our homes.

How much education you go through depends on what kind of job you want to have.

I mean education has gotten us where we are today in our amount of knowlede about technology and medicine, etc...

Now  that our world is what it is today, you pretty much have to have a job to survive unless you happen to be an heir to a fortune and a house...

    I wish I was....

Anyway, education leads to job, job leads to money, money leads to house, job requires car which comes back to money which comes back to job which comes back to education. Then you've got insurance, all t hat jazz. Everything falls back on your level of education and your level in society.

  6. it is what life is based on look good ed mean good jod good job means lots of money lots of money means a good house for your fam do you understand it may not be fun but it is what life is based on

  7. Besides the obvious fact of actually learning something, education is important because you have more opportunities in life. Not to mention, someone with a Bachelor's Degree makes at least $800,000 more than someone with a high school diploma.

No joke- check the College Board.
