Why is elite put out a suckified card for CBS? Why are they focusing on Kimbo?

Why not Nick Diaz , Jake Shields or Lawler as the stars? What has Kimbe ever proven?

The reason why they're using Kimbo is simple:  he's the most marketable fighter as far as the mainstream goes.  It doesn't hurt MMA at all, as the other fighters may have more talent, but the publicity is good for Elite XC and it needs ratings in order to continue to operate as a promotion.  Carano is getting a big push also as she's also well known mainstream.  Kimbo will put people in the seats, that's the idea anyways.

Kimbo is a marketing machine, and they are right to take advantage, because once he gets his first loss, he has less appeal. Even those of you who choose to hate Kimbo will watch, because you want to see him lose. Besides, the uninitiated fan is more likely to have heard of Kimbo because of his internet brawls than they are of Robbie Lawler, or Phil Baroni, who are  names that only more seasoned fans will recognize. People may even recognize Gina "Crush" Carano from American Gladiators, and watch to see her fight.

CBS is in this for the Money not the growth of the sport, the growth will just be a bye product of CBS making money.  The Kimbo vs Tank fight brought some good #'s in, so they are banking on what has already worked-Kimbo.  Millions of folks have watched his street fights on you tube, so that is who CBS is after.  Elite will use the Kimbo platform to build other stars and hopefully for CBS Kimbo pans out to be a decent MMA fighter

the casual fan loves the ko.  kimbo delivers.  he looks like something out of a b-level horror movie.  its not about technique with this card.  its about the excitement.  every fight on this card will most likely end in ko.  hardcore fans look at this and scratch their head. people who dont know will be like "oh my god"  kimbo is the best fighter........EVER!!!
