  1. They install the cameras because then the cities can

issue traffic citations and receive thousands of dollars

in revenue from their "tickets".  What most people do

NOT know is that since these "tickets" are not generated

by the Police Department, payment is not necessary !

  2. Who said it's illegal?

I don't know NJ law, but if it's illegal contact the NMO, which will take it to court and get it struck down.

  3. Cameras are NOT illegal in public places.

  4. why are you doing something illegal. if not why worry. i know they had cameras in dover, nj for more years than i can remember. helped stopping some of the criminal activity there.

  5. Why would you consider that illegal?   I am not bothered by this and think it is a good idea to keep us safer.   Unless you plan to be a criminal, then there is no need to worry about it.

Monitoring public places is in no right a violation of privacy or anything.

Video is great in apprehending criminals.

  6. Everything WE do is potentially illegal, and whatever THEY do is perfectly fine. Just ask bush - he's an expert on the concept.
