You are correct, we are all jealous of the 3 total playoff series they have won over the last 6 seasons.  All teams should aim for that type of excellence.

Well, I guess the teams who didn't make the playoffs would be jealous.  The Red Wings would hardly be jealous.

No, Crosby doesn't suck... but he can't win a championship by himself or with just Malkin.  They need a whole team.  Most may not agree, but signing Fedotenko and Satan will be better for them than signing Hossa to a long term deal this year.  If they did that, then they wouldn't be able to afford the type of players NEEDED for a championship.

Just like Datsyuk and Zetterberg didn't win by themselves, they needed the good secondary guys.

It's probably because, after a string of miserable seasons and the threat of losing their team, they've risen so fast, so quickly. I'd be jealous of them too if they weren't my team.

No one is jealous of us. Most are probably laughing. Because next year our FA thing is about to get worse. We have no cap room next season.

Personally, it's not jealousy, it's the tiresome ramble about "Sid the Kid" every time I turn on the TV. It's obvious that he is a great player and the way the league is today there is no way he will break any of Gretzky's records...however, the guy is too young to captain a team with all of the VETERAN leadership they had this year. He (and the pens) have a lot of maturing to do, and when they do, watch out. They are a great team, but for me, the sickness (not jealousy) comes from the ideologies that the game of hockey and the sanctity of the NHL ride on this kids shoulders. No way, not for me. I want a true leader, give me a Messier, a Sundin, or a Jason Smith anyday, they are true warriors.

But that's my opinion and I'm entitled to it! :)

It's not Jealousy. It is just that the fans of EVERY other team in the NHL is tired of hearing how great Cosby and the Pens are. Even after the lost in the finals. Not to put them down because it is a great accomplishment to make it to the finals. Its just that they didn't win. Yet the Pens fans somehow lost touch with reality and think they are the elite team...The team to beat next year and so on. You can only take so much until you have to put them in their place. as a looser in the Stanly Cup Playoffs just like every other team except one.No jealousy just fact.

My warning to Pens fans is this: Remember the teams of the past that have made a final appearance or even won the cup and faild to make the playoffs the next year? Brag on what your team has accomplished this season. Be hopeful for what they might do next season. Never brag on what has not been or may not be.

What part?  The c**p building, the bankruptcy, the near moves to Hamilton and Kansas City in the last two years, or the insufferable bandwagon fans?

Pittsburgh has a ton of young talent, which, given the number of top-3 draft picks they've had this decade, shouldn't be a big surprise.

I'd rather my favorite team be bankrupt on NO account of the GMs and management of the team (it was the fault of the owners) in an era of the NHL when MANY teams weren't doing as good as they are now financially, and have the franchise's beloved player become it's saviour and owner by getting the team out of bankruptcy and getting an arena deal done with the city's officials...

...Rather than see my favorite team suck year in and out, in one of the NHL's best markets, due to the owners, the GMs and management, and anyone else Toronto feels like blaming.
