  1. I knew an eccentric lady where I grew up who warned kids against Ouija boards.  She said it was playing with powerful forces that should not be played with.  I'm skeptical -- people always obviously are consciously pushing the thing around on the board deliberately.

  2. ouija board is actually a tool which u use to communicate with the spirit. By asking some question, the spirit, could sometimes, rarely, answer u back. That is the creepiest part of the thing. That makes people think that it is evil. By playing with it , u might get burn. The spirit could easily possess you if u are vulnerable.

  3. Not EVERYONE is afraid.

Fear is all in the mind, if you allow yourself to fear it then you will.

  4. yeah most people r affaid of it coz they rekon all spirits r evil.

ive tryied it and it was fun as.

one of my best friends friend used a ouiji board and it told her that she wud die in 7 days. she conected with this spirit who dies in a murder.

i dont really think that a ouiji board is somthing to b afraid of.

    =]

  5. It was on the news once. Eight high school kids in China used a ouija board and asked if they were going to pass their final exams. Then i think the next day all eight ended up in a hospital cuz they all fell unconscious. They don't know if it was from the ouija board or from stress about the final exams.

I made one with my friend in woodshop class before. It was glazed and all with the wooden piece that has the little window you see the letters with. We got a third friend to do it with us, and we used it in a dim room. It was one of the stupidest things we've made. We probably made it wrong somehow. But it's busy collecting dust in my garden shed.

But yeah, I've heard a lot of people say that disturbing stuff can happen when you use it. It's probably all in the mind though.

  6. Nope. I'm curious about it, because I've personally never used one before, but I know how they work (it's not spirit powers, it's just sort of involuntary movement, like blinking when not thinking about it). And I would use that to my advantage, by making an answer totally right to the question my friend asks.

  7. A ouija board (correctly pronounced "wee-jah" /wiʤə/ although often pronounced "wee-gee" /wiʤi/ ) is any flat surface printed with letters, numbers, and other symbols, to which a planchette or movable indicator points, supposedly in answer to questions from people at a séance. The fingers of the participants are placed on the planchette that then moves about the board to spell out messages. Ouija is a trademark for a talking board currently sold by Parker Brothers. While the word is not considered a genericized trademark, it has become a trademark that is often used generically to refer to any talking board. In popular culture these boards are considered to be a spiritual gateway used to contact the dead; however, the only evidence for this is the various accounts of users.

Users subconsciously direct the path of the triangle to produce a word that is in that person's subconscious thought process. This subconscious behavior is known as ideomotor action, a term coined by William Carpenter in 1882. It is also known as automatism.[4] Some people may be convinced the "powers" of the ouija board are real because they are unaware that they are in fact moving the piece and therefore assume that the piece must be moving due to some other "spiritual force". The subconscious thought process may produce an answer that is different than what the user expected in their conscious thought process--thus perpetuating the idea that the board has "mystical powers".

Spiritualists who believe Ouija boards can be used to make actual contact with the spirit world feel that the act of hindering a medium’s ability to use his or her own eyes while the board is in use effectively places too great of a handicap on the whole exercise . This, argument stems from the belief that contacted spirits actually utilize the eyes of the medium during a Ouija session in order to point to the letters and words needed to form a message. Most believers of this notion believe that the board has no intrinsic power in and of itself, but rather, is used simply as a tool to aid a medium while in communication with the spirit world.

  8. I don't think muscles can physically move something without one knowing. Ouija Board is real. It's dangerous. Lots of people have had bad experiences with it. It's not a toy. For all you Scientist-Worshippers, somethings you can't explain.
