Please tell me what is so bad about them. No need to say "this is a southern sport its not for slant eyed people", just give me a good reason why they shouldnt be in NASCAR and dont say its just because you hate them.

  1. They haven't earned it for one. Chevy, for example, has been tweaking on the small block V8 since 1955. Toyota just walked in and copied the plans.

I also think it's silly that the nameplate Camry competes with Hemi Chargers and Impala Super Sports.

When I think of 'stock car racing', I think of an old Chevelle screaming down some back road. Not a librarian picking up her grand kids in a Toyota.

  2. Most the people who hate Toyota are just uneducated and think that it's un-american.  When in actuallity, more Toyotas are built in America then Chevys, Dodges, and those craptastic Fords.

The rest of them probably just hate the perticular drivers that drive Toyotas.  I'm part of that crew.

  3. Xenophobia

  4. Well let me try to make you understand it, its kinda like riding into STURGIS on a MOPED , JUST DONT BELONG THERE.

  5. Honestly, competition is always good.  I'd love to see Honda come in and watch the two highbrow (Toyota) and lowbrow (Honda) Japanese outfits slug it out.  The the Michigan boys can wake up, do something new and rethink their dinosaur cylinder designs.

  6. Toyata sucks

Tony Stewart didn't want to race in it caz they had a disater season in 2007 in their debut with NO wins

  7. I think one of the main reasons that NASCAR fans dislike Toyota is the fact  they have been able to copy engine designs from all three major manufacturers in the sport without really having to do any R&D on their own. Secondly Toyota would not have been given a snowballs chance at succeeding in NASCAR until JGR took a deal from Toyota, and because JGR is considered a "flagship" operation with 3 cup titles to their credit NASCAR agreed to allow the Toyotas to have an additional 40+ HP in the designed areas of their engines to "make them more competitive". If you will remember until JGR agreed on contract terms with Toyota the only "Big" name they had was Michael Waltrip, and we see how well his team did last year, as compared to this year. Finally none of the "big 3" can match dollar for dollar what Toyota spend on their equipment, and testing to improve their "static" designs that are a culmination of all 3 NASCAR manufacturers.

  8. I think its because in most people's eyes NASCAR is an American motorsport, where only American drivers & American manufacturers compete. In their eyes NASCAR is North American Stock Car Auto Racing.

I say if NASCAR garners the interest of these teams, manufacturers, sponsors, who just happen to be not from NA, then why stop them? They want to see NASCAR grow, we want to see NASCAR grow, so its a win-win in my book.|

Its not like Toyota was/is the 1st foreign manufacturer to compete or even win in NASCAR.

  9. because they are form japan and this is a American sport

  10. well mainly it's because they are a foreign car. people want nascar to remain american. also with toyota winning alot of races this year, people are going to hate them even more.

  11. shutup with all this bs about dodge and ford being made in the us they probly have more factories outside of the us than toyota. and the resond why toyotas are doing so well is because they have horsepower advantages

  12. people don't like change. Especially when it messes with the fabric that makes up our American sport. (ignorance basically)

  13. To be honest, every year it seems like there is one car manufacturer that has "the advantage" over others. Last year it was all Chevy, and this year it's Toyota. Next year it'll be Dodge or Ford. It seems as if the one that has the least success the previous year some how steps up and invest more extra money or something into one particular team (like Toyota and JGR this year) just to make them look the best. I know this sounds strange and odd, but if you look back over the years, it sure seems this way.

  14. Welcome to the global economy. This ain't 1948 anymore. Chevy, Ford and Dodge are about as American made these days as Yao Ming. This ain't your grandpa's NASCAR and you might as well accept. Cheer for your favorite make, but don't hate on the new guy. Such jingoism is actually quite UN-American.

Competition is good people. America is about opportunity. I hate to break it to ya, but all your relatives were foreigners once.

I was hard core American made until the late 80s, and all that c**p out of Detroit had me singing a different.

  15. im not. I like them being here in Nascar...im not like these other racist fans who are anti-foreign.

  16. Racing is an American sport. Tony hates it and he drives one. Most drivers' own car that they drive everyday is made by the manufacturer they drive in NASCAR. Tony kept his Corvette. Plus, Kyle Busch drives one. Ford and Dodge and Chevy. That's how it should be.

  17. the good ol' boys don't like change

  18. because Toyota sucks.... even tony Stewart does not like Toyota.... he was not planing on leaving Gibbs till piece of c**p Toyota came in to nascar.....!

    - one foreign cars do not belong in America.... period

oh and thumb me down i dont care...... ( joey )

  19. I'm very passionate towards my American made cars. No disrespect towards any foreign manufacture, they all make great products, but American cars are where racing started. Most of us have seen the foreign manufactures dominate in the streets, and we're upset with that. That intern carries over to the sport that we all love. To me, it doesn't matter if Toyota's are being produced in American now, the concept is still a foreign. It's no different than computers. Look at Apple (an American based computer production company). Most Americans don't buy Apple's, they are unaware of something they don't know.

  20. B/C Nascar should only be run with American cars.

  21. i aint got nothing against toyota

i just dont like who drives them

i'll be glad when smoke gets back in his chevy

  22. some great answers here! agreed with frankie c, trav and denise the most

I am not fond of Toyota in nascar because they are a foreign car make, I don't care if they were made in Van Nuys like my Camaro they are a foreign car make. Also if the "Native Americans" and "African Americans" can still be mad about stuff that happened hundreds of years ago, I can still be mad about Pearl Harbor LOL

  23. cuz nascar is about aerican stock car racing not bringing in cars makes that are made outside of the USA

  24. GMopar hit the nail right on the head.  A lot of motorsports fans were wary about Toyota joining NASCAR because of TRD's history of outspending the competition.

So far I haven't heard anything about Toyota spending an outrageous amount of money yet, but let's keep our fingers crossed...

  25. well let me see Toyota is like virus killing NASCAR slowly lets send Toyota back Japan whos with me?

  26. Not so much Toyota's name plate, but the questionable practices of TRD.

  27. Because, NASCAR is an AMERICAN sport. And it isn't "American" anymore because a foreign company is coming in and taking over. It takes away from NASCAR's roots, the all-American roots. Toyota just doesn't belong because it had nothing to do with bringing up the sport or making it popular. Toyota just joined because they noticed they can make money and it's great exposure. Thats why they have no reason to come into our American sport!

  28. nascar is an american sport and toyota is a foreign car.  I've never liked toyota.  Once they start bringing honda into nascar, i'm done.  And everyone is giving praise to toyota. Toyota is not all that great. If it was, you would see more toyotas winning besides kyle busch. Toyota is not doing good this year, kyle is doing good this year.

  29. because i'am not a toyota fan
