Why is everyone against russia?

as much as i know, it were the georgians who attacked and captured ossetia and started this war. then the russians came and took ossetia and now are bombing georgia. but the question is: if georgia did start the war itself why is everyone pissed off at russia?

Georgia did not attack Russia, did they?   Georgia is a srong ally of the US, even has troops in Iraq ( we are flying back home to fight THAT war)  So Russia has attacked an ally, and Russia was not attacked.  That should be enough.

even western TV channels and US officials are acknowledging georgian army attacked Osetia and russian forces intervined after. And it is rather clear which side western TV channels and US officials support.

you go read news at least before saying something
