why is everyone getting mad at usain bolt for celibrating befor the race was over? i mean he knew he had won and he was stoked about it i would be too. but everyone is saying that he was being a poor sport and he wasn't giving the fans what they deserved. i think they should just leave him alone if they don't want to celibrate a world record!

  1. Yes it's great that he won it, celebrated and he is awesome but it is just that he did not give his all.  The Olympics is for people to do their best and give 100%, which he clearly did not do by not running the race through.  I think that is what is upsetting people along with his poor attitude.  He should look up the word humility in the dictionary.

  2. I have no problem with a little showboating, but maybe AFTER

the race is over.  He only cheated himself out of a faster, perhaps

untouchable time.  He may never have this chance, this stage again.

He could come up lame tomorrow, and never be able to achieve

this kind of athletic form again.

There is a lot more to "greatness", than just overwhelming your

opponents in an event.  Obviously Bolt's youth, extreme ego and bravado, got the best of him, and in my opinion, may have cost

him a little bit on the "greatness" scale.

Imagine how it could have been if he had ran out the race at

his maximum, then show a little humility.

There is a big difference between what we saw and what could have been.

  3. I agree with you he should have been able to celebrate before the race. But I think they were mad because if he would haven't celebrated, he could have broken a world record.

  4. I thought it was AWESOME. When else are you ever going to see a man SLOW DOWN and CELIBRATE BEFORE he crosses the finish line in a 100m dash? What he's done is superhuman, I doubt it would ever happen again. It's phenomenal and you should be happy that you actually saw it in your lifetime. And it proves that winning and breaking records isn't what it's all about for him, it's about having fun too! :)

  5. Sportsmanship, its a moral value we Americans try to share. No One likes a cocky person. Confident ok but cocky h**l TO THE NO.

I tried to see a video on youtube but i didn't see him being cocky I just saw he was very excited that he broke a world record.

  6. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Its called Class !

  7. I see some guy here used double standard.  Why there is no people suspect drug issure for Phelps for his wonderful performance.  When it goes to other country's athlete with a amazing performance, it is then suspected as a drug issue or other.  We call this as a classic LOSER's behavior.

  8. OH my God , Ummmmmmm  funny how no one make  assumptions that Michael PHILPS MAY BE ON DRUGS  , OR DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN THE SWIM TEAM CELEBRATED BEFORE THE RACE WAS OVER.  HUMMMMMM WONDER WHY.

  9. I could care less, he won the race, he's a h**l of a runner, is a showboat and his attitude sucks.

    Just my opinion.

  10. I don't see anything wrong in celebrating before the race was actually over. If he could afford that, good for him. The only think that I found to be a little too much was the celebrating AFTER the race was over. He spent less than 9.7 seconds in the race and more than 9.7 minutes celebrating in every single way he could: taking shoes off, posing for the cameras, going here, going there, coming back... Even the officials asked him several times to follow them out of the track and he wouldn't stop... I found that a little bit too much and perhaps a little too arrogant. Still arrogance has nothing to do with the fact that he was the fastest runner.

  11. well he was showing off even before he won

  12. i guess its a bit cocky but, d**n that guy is fast.

  13. As long as he's clean, I could care less if he's showboating.  It certainly adds flavor to the race.  With European races giving out cash prizes for breaking world records, I couldn't blame him for slowing down.

  14. I think he is on something and breaking the record by such a large margin would have drawn suspicion. There are probably undetectable performance enhancing drugs out there. But I still give the guy props.

  15. self=righteous, intolerant, jealous, etc.

i actually like usain bolt's attitude. he makes olympics interesting.  americans always find something to complain when they get beaten. since usain won fair and square and is not underage.....so they say he has bad attitude. haha.

  16. like usain said himself "i am happy to win the gold medal"
