  1. GREAT QUESTION!!! kudos to you , now , you solve the problem of keeping america working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! without oil and we wont be mad

  2. Do you drive an automobile?

  3. Yes, that's why we need to look for alternative fuel sources, but *not* ethanol.

  4. We are a LOOONG way off from being independent of fossile fuels and petrolium based products.   Most of the alternatives suggested by politicians and the Global Warming followers are not very practical.   A hybrid car might sound all nice and green but when the batteries inside of them (lead acid or lithium ion) are finaly past their prime they will have to be disposed of.  These are highly toxic and heavy usage shortens the life of a battery.   Wind power does not generate the kW that nuclear or fossil fuel based electricity does.  Hydro electric is great but has a limited area of operation.   Solar energy is hardly practical for any meaningful energy production outside of incredibly large fields of pannels (like the movie Sahara the scene was filmed at a solar power plant in Australia I believe).     Pound for pound nothing outperforms the energy output of gasoline in automobiles.    The addition of ethanol has decreased gas milage in most cars requring more fill ups.    Ive started filling up at Citgo stations (thank you Hugo Chavez :-)  ) because it is 100% gasoline and increased milage.

  5. And then what? No power, no plastics, no businesses, no economy. Great freakin idea!  If you like the stone age.

  6. We cannot stop using oil! It makes EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Plastic, metal, food, cars, petrol, everything you see uses oil. It would take centuries to stop using it, and by then we will be out of it. Scientist predict it will be gone  (no more avalible petroleum) by 2030.
