Because he was a wishy washy whiny little girl who cried when he retired, only to change his mind, then change it back, and change it back yet again, and opened up this whole soap opera media storm that we now have to listen to day in, day out.

Because Brett disrespected his team the organization,and himself 4 times. Brett has done some things wrong and just because you are a good quarterback does not excuse you anymore than any other player. To speak the truth is not disrespectful as the wrong that one committed in order for others to speak about it. I don't mean any harm but you ask the question like we are speaking against God. Instead of a man who played the same type game for 4 seasons and thought he could do the same thing this time and it backfired on him. I believed the Packer organization cherished Brett but you want someone you can depend on that when he gives his word he keeps it not constant flip flopping back and forth. Stability trustworthiness the Packers was not just 1 man and these other players have a right to know where they are every season. Not have to sit around and wait for someone to make up their minds time and time again !!!  Brett has disrespected himself a liar deserves no respect. Brett is no more important than you or I are any other human being, he can play football that does not make him better or more important than a person that can't..

I've been thinking the same thing. If they don't like the guy, then there is no need for them to follow the story and complain about him.

He made a mistake in retiring too early. He's human, we all make mistakes.

he got a great season last year made it to the playoffs thats good they didnt win the superbowl its not like he hadnt won one but he already did..  Their is nothing to show for we all  know he is one of the elite qb's in the league the last thing we to see brett favre be like montana and unitas played for a diffent team and watch another losing season.  It was painful to see Unitas and joe montana leave the league that way  and we dont want to see brett leave the game in that note. He is hurting his team with this unwanted attention being brought to this team because of this.  Its like a gf that does not want to go away after a nasty breakup. Their is nothing for him to prove he got what he wanted and let his team moved on  because its not hurting him that much as he is hurting them. If packers would have a horrible yr this yr whos gonna lay the blame the team or Favre?

i know what you mean... i used to like him but the media talks about him  non stop i cant stand it. once they had his own section on the bottomline on ESPN... i just started to get sick and tired of hearing his name.  the same thing happened to me when barry bonds was closing in on the record. but thats another thing since he cheated with the roids
