  1. It's a good deal you could say for Houston!

  2. because most of these numbnuts dont know S**t about basketball. though im not a kings fan, i thought this was a terrific trade for both teams.

ill start with houston. theyre already a playoff team, they just never made it very far. artest can be the piece that pushed them towards serious contention. artest and battier are 2 very good defensive players and can lock down most players in the nba. couple that with a healthy yao and tmac and you got yourself a legit team. a lot of people dont realize how good artest can be because all their thoughts about him are negative.

and i never really thought artest would have gone to detroit anyway. i dont think piston fans want him on their team after the fight a few years ago.

for the kings, there is absolutely no point in keeping a disgruntled star on your team, nothing good can ever come out of it. so in return the kings got a 1st round pick, a young player with a lot of potential, and an old fan favorite. pretty good if you ask me. true summer league means S**t and those 40 pts dont scare anyway or mean anything but i think greene has a lot of potential, reminds me a lot of rashard lewis. and the kings dont have very many wing players anyway so i like the deal for both teams.

people should never undervalue the power of any 1st round pick. afterall josh howard and tony parker were low 1st rounders. arenas, boozer, ellis, redd, ginobili were all 2nd rounders. so people shouldnt toss around draft picks like theyre meaningless.

  3. Well, everyone saw how the Kings performed last season and were just out of the playoffs by a couple of games. Now everyone believes that the trade will only put the Kings farther down in the brutal, brutal West.

  4. Because they're the Laker fans and they're upset that the Kings didn't make the trade with them.

  5. Bobby Jackson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... r u serious? how the h**l is this guy better than Lamar Odom. I understand that Lamar had a huge salary but this trade is ridiculous.

Odom's should be fired if he doesn't perform well next year.

  6. Kings probably have a middle first rounder, solid bench player and got a talented scoring threat in Donte Greene in return. Not bad. It wont help short term (bottom of division) but its worth it compared to settling with a risky distraction on the team.

  7. summer league is against other rookies and d-leaguers sometimes college players that werent good enough for the draft

They probably secured themselves the lowest seed in the Pacific Division

  8. good trade

  9. Amazing trade now get ride of Brad Miller for a young playa and get a core of young guys to grow together and make the playoffs ala NO Hornets

  10. Artest did not want to play with the Kings anyways, I think yall should of tried to trade him to the East though, not against your competition in the West.......

  11. 40 in a summer league game don't mean a thing.  There are plenty of guys who shine in summer league who aren't nearly that good against real NBA talent.  Sacramento gave him away...clearly they wanted him gone and the whole league knew it so they got low balled for Artest.  That's the problem when everyone knows you want to get rid of a guy...they offer very little.  The Kings could have likely gotten more if they waited for a while, but again, they obviously wanted him out of town.  People are saying they made a bad trade because they made a bad trade...unless you consider getting him out of the locker room to be good enough.

  12. Kings could of got someone better!! Detroit had bettter offers. I wonder who that seocnd player would be from houston if he's scola or battier den dis trade would be good.
