Why is everything getting so expensive now?

Grind to a halt, yes.

All true wealth comes from the earth.  The earth is not producing like it once did and people have been ignoring, making poor use of or stealing from the land.  Pay back time has come.

Money systems make life easier and have great advantages over a barter system.  Money systems are artificial but don't need much to make them run.  However on some dark day in human history it occurred to someone that money, with all its advantages, could itself be used to make money.

So along come interest rates and the games of commerce, religion, politics and the human souls that come with it.  So extensive is this game that the real source of wealth is forgotten and it becomes a massive gambling operation.  (They call it risk).

In this case the dealers are running out of money due to overly high stakes allowed at the table, an increasing lack of players and a drought in the source of true wealth provided by the earth.  As the kids say --  "Busted"

Inflation is much  higher than is being reported.  And it will grind the economy to a halt big time.  Inflation was one of the major factors in Germany prior to WWII.  The dumb fat and happy are hard to move.  The upset and desperate will grab onto anything.

The world economic situation is becoming a major engine to drive the world together.  On the plus side is the "global community."  On the danger side a united mass of humanity easily controlled by a few.

partially right, the world economy is not halting , but definitely is slowing , with prices of oil/gases /minerals/metals/agriculture product rises due to war and heavy development, no wonder all things are getting very very expensive.

Everything is getting expensive now cause you have to have gas to transport it and everyone know that gas is very expensive right now!!!!
