Why is everything to do with skateboarding cheaper in America?

I live in the UK and its seems we have to pay twice as much than Americans for all skateboarding stuff..... For example bones swiss cost $50 in America but in the UK they cost £50 ($100)

most the stuff they sell in England are much more expensive than in America, twice as much at least..from skullcandy headphones to abercrombie and fitch clothing..  gawd im so lucky..

I think that skateboard goods are cheaper in the US, because skateboarding is more popular in the US than in the UK so that means that the products would be in mass production, making them cheaper.
