Question:

Why is feminism failing?

i mean, recently, Gov. Sarah Palin was named VP to John McCain. It's a great honor and a great achievement by woman (being only the second time - i think - a female has been named VP) and concerns came out saying she can't handle being VP AND a mother. Where are the feminists attacking these ideas? Why are liberals willfully trying to set back women 50 years by basically saying that women should only raise children, and the feminists are saying nothing to attack that idea and instead are being hypocrates to their own cause.

  1. Feminism is not failing.

  2. I can't believe the way the GOP is trying to spin this woman. Last week she couldn't get arrested in D.C., now she is the great white hope for all America. What you're missing is the fact that McCain chose her to appease women, specifically Hillary Clinton supporters. In my view, he made a disastrous decision. I find her positions laughable, and I'm hardly a liberal.

  3. I'm not voting for McCain because I don't want him and I certainly do not want some VP that has absolutely NO experience I mean McCain is old do we really want some who is she, where did she come from person who has NO business being on a VP ticket who could very well end up being the President just so we can say hey we have a woman on the ticket?

Yikes it's stupid reasoning she should be considered for her experience and qualifications of the JOB and if you look at just that she should not be on the ticket.

McCain made a very big mistake.

  4. The secular progressive feminist fear Palin because she does not buy into their "I've been oppressed" mentality. She did it on her own without complaint. She is a real woman and and a feminist.

Secondly she does not believe in abortion. Women have killed 50 million plus babies since Roe V Wade. It is not choice its birth control. Never in our history have so many defenseless people been killed and the killing by women is done under the banner of choice.

Third, these so called feminist push the homosexual agenda and are big g*y Marriage proponents.

Palin is a feminist just not the radical ones who blame everyone else for their problems or perceived problems. She is the kind of feminist that makes sense. Good riddance to the secular progressive feminist. Now that Palin has emerged, there are destined for the dust bin of history and in the nick of time.

Palin in 2016 is what I say.

  5. Because this is a moot question. Hey ladies, the guy asking this question is one male chauvinist piglet that just wants to rattle your cages. I think women are more viable now than ever and if you women are smart you will not lower yourself to this guys level by answering his questions anymore. He is sitting in some library somewhere on one of their computers asking these stupid questions.

  6. becoz its bogus, its a joke.

  7. Whoa, Pumpkin. Where are "feminists" saying that she shouldn't be VP because of her family obligations?

I say she shouldn't be VP because she's a hypocritical twit who has abused her position of power. Nothing to do with her gender.

  8. It seems to me that feminism has been an overwhelming success and is going to propel women beyond equality into superiority, its already happening in areas like education, reproductive rights and divorce

  9. I heard that her husband is going to be a SAHD if she makes it.  Wouldnt that be a great step forward, in giving men choices as well?

Not all feminist are against her, very happily voting for her come december.

  10. Feminism is not failing.  On the contrary, it threatens, like globalization, to continue spreading.  One must be very careful when addressing radical feminism.  It was a joke even 15 years ago and within half a decade became rampant.

  11. How is it exactly that feminism failing?  I've always found that fearful, small men with rejection issues are always the ones who espouse the supposed detriments of feminism.

  12. I'm sorry feminism has tons of problems. NOW was super angry at Ted Kennedy for endorsing Obama and not Hilary (since she is a woman) and they can't even release a statement or something saying that Palin can be a mother, and a VP at once.
