Why is football currently showing on both channel 7 and sbs?!?

How about showing some sport we haven't seen any of instead of this ridiculous doubling up?!!!

SBS said, what sport they are showing so 7 should show another sport.

Last night they denied Australians the right to see their newest Olympic gold medal winner (and not for 40 years for men in athletics) win live on TV. Instead they showed Australian rules football.

i think you should realize that there are other people living in this world.  There are different local channels for different locations.  Where do you live?

Arden, Channel 7 and SBS are two channels in Australia. That is their names, they have no other, we CAN NOT call them something else because there is 100 other channel 7s. I'd like to call it fred to differentiate it from all the others, but then the other Australians wont know what i am talking about either.

They are the only two channels in Australia with any rights to play the olympics, and this is a very long, very slow game with an almost obvious outcome... and they still havent shown the 6th set of dives in the mens 10m platform where one Aussie has scored over 100 points.

It is quite frustrating.

Hi there - well  think it's because channel 7 are filling in - sbs got the dregs of the Olympics eg ping pong and the like and channel 7 don't think us Melbourne people want to watch anything else and that includes all of the time that they took time out from melbourne to show us Auzzie rules, which in our house we didn;t want.
