Maybe the ratings. Or maybe cause it showed Mccain didn't act like someone w/ alzheimers or amnesia like some ppl suggested he would and some ppl are so sick of hearing how remarkable Obama is yet he can't seem to explain how he's going to do the things he claims he's gonna do when he actually says what he wants to do. I personally think that Mccain did way better than him, too, I might add. He got right to the point and answered straight up and directly.

I'm a dem, bty, and not a big fan of Fox or Bush, just for the record.

They are trying to be fair and balanced by giving Obama another chance to answer the questions correctly.  I don't think he can though.
