  1. it's supply and demand, too little gas, too many drivers, and getting worse every year.

  2. Because the cost per barrel of oil keeps going up. And as long as oil goes up so will gas..

  3. Why are...

  4. Because the oil companies are raising there prices, so however much the gas companies have to pay, that's as much as we will have to pay!!!

    It sucks!!!

  5. Increased demand and speculation have driven the cost of oil up in the market. It costs gas stations more and they pass  it on to you.

  6. Because the oil CEOs want more and more and more $$$

  7. Because Bush is still breathing

  8. because they are

  9. The price started going up because few reason.  It was the summer so the demand will be up.  But mostly because the USA economy is weak (weak economy = weak dollar).

But most of recent price rise (from about $100 to $140) are all because of WALL STREET SPECULATORS (wall street greed).

    good Luck...

  10. Ask a guy in the oil field, oil is not running out. Foreign countries are making money and loving it! The U.S. shouldn't  really depend on other countries but whatever?
